Are You Living the Best of Your Life?

living your best life

In my previous post, I discussed how to approach challenges in life but today, I’m here to talk to you about living the best of your life. How much do you know about living your best life and how would you describe it someone?
It is common to hear people say, “Enjoy your life,” it may be you sitting over a bottle of chilled drinks and an enticing spicy ball of meat to pass down the throat. Have you been in such a situation or has someone said this to you sometimes?

As for me, I have heard it often. It is not a bad wish to tell a friend or somebody close to you
to enjoy some merriment. I have a friend or someone I would rather be best described as a colleague with because we worked for the same company about three years ago.

He shared a story about what he considered to be his best life. He didn’t know that he lived in a fool’s paradise. Before he realised that his very self deceived him, and if not for luck, he would have found a refuge in a place not meant for a person with a sound mind. I waited with patience to get his point of view and he gave me a shocker. He told me that for some years and daily, he drank more than 16 cups of black coffee.

What? He repeated it, sixteen cups of caffeine. It affected him in a way he couldn’t imagine. Keeping awake with less than four hours of sleep every night. It affected him, drained his energy, and left him unmotivated to do his work and relate well with people.

It took the intervention of a doctor, who told him to do away or limit his intake of this
black-looking drink. He did as he was told and reduced to two cups per day, which wasn’t the habit before.
He told me with joy that, after some time, his sleep and mood returned to normalcy.
And he found his joy back. His energy returned to full gear. I used this story to tell you what anyone can think about living the best life. My friend thought he did. Probably you too.

Am I left out in this wrong thinking? No, when I flashed back years ago, I could remember
the time I used soft drinks like water. I was living my best life as I thought. Imagine my
thinking! This is completely wrong, so eating and drinking, which is not bad on its own, falls short of
expectations of what living your best life should be.

WHAT IS LIVING YOUR BEST LIFE?
